Facebook import

Out of what I could read on your email yesterday, it’s no longer possible to import events from Facebook. Is this something you are in touch with Facebook to get settled, or has Facebook said no to allow imports in the future? The reason I ask is because then I know a little more about what I can tell the customers we have that use the Event Aggregator.

Hi Bjrn,

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue…you are correct that following some recent changes to the Facebook API, Event Aggregator is now effectively blocked from importing Facebook events. Our team has been able to restore some of this functionality, and we are posting updates here as they become available. If following the instructions listed there does not allow you to import, can you please send me the Facebook link that you are trying to import from and let me know what message you get? I’ll be happy to test it out on my end!

I do apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing. We are doing our best to get as much functionality as we can restored as quickly as possible, but unfortunately this will depend on what happens with the Facebook API going forward. Besides the information posted here, I really don’t have any additional updates right now – how things will work in the future depends on the further changes that are made to the API. If you have any questions in the meantime, please let me know!
