    I’ve done nothing to a new site other than remove the “coming soon” page and publish the site, but now notice this is showing below the calendar display on the page front:

    [[ if(imageSrc.length) { ]]
    [[=title]]
    [[ } ]] [[ if(excerpt.length) { ]]
    [[=raw excerpt]]
    [[ } ]] [[=i18n.find_out_more]]

    The inspection tool relates it to tribe-events-event-image, etc., with a permalink routing to a 404:
    shop-sales/%5B%5B=permalink%5D%5D

    I find no setting that seems to explain its sudden appearance, so am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
    Thanks!

    Hi there!

    I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the plugin. I will try to help figure out the cause of this.

    Can you try switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme and disabling all other plugins to see if this is a theme or plugin conflict? You can read more about the process here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

    If the problem is not showing, switch back to your theme and enable plugins one by one until the problem returns.

    Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,
    Sky

    But if I’ve made no changes other than to publish the site and it was
    working fine before, I’m not understanding why this is necessary.  :\

    (Reverting to the 2017 theme results in the custom css widgets getting
    dumped and I have to spend 30 to 60 minutes reconstructing every time.

    Hi again,

    Not sure why you would lose any data when temporarily switching themes. In any case, it helps to do testing like this on a staging site. If you do not have a staging site set up, you can create one easily using the WP Staging Plugin.

    It is important to rule out a theme, child theme or plugin conflict before we can look deeper at the problem, because that is usually the cause of issues like this. This isn’t something anyone else is reporting, and so I suspect that would be the case here as well.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Thank you for encouraging me to do that. It turns out it was something to do with one of the other plugins on this site. After making a couple of setting adjustments for this particular page, the extraneous code is now no longer showing.

    Awesome! Glad you figured it out.

    Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
