ParticipantStrange issue here. I’ve got my calendar displaying on a page via the [tribe_events] shortcode within the Elegant Themes Divi Theme. Everything displays correctly but the “Export Events” option produces a calendar with no events when imported into Outlook or iCal.
BUT when I view the default calendar page created by the plugin the “Export Events” option on that page produces a different file with a different name. That file works and imports correctly into iCal, etc.
So, how do I get the Export Events option to work on the shortcode calendar? Thanks in advance.

KeymasterHi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the export button. I will try to help you get this sorted.
When I download the file from there, for some reason all the events have 2019 for the year. I am not seeing this happen on my local test install.
Can you try temporarily switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme and disabling all other plugins to see if this could be a theme or plugin conflict? You can read more about this troubleshooting process here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ Make sure to clear any caches after making the changes.
Let me know if it behaves differently in that configuration.
Thanks,

ParticipantOk tried activating 2017 and deactivating all other plugins but I’m getting the same result. The events exported start on March 4 of 2019 for some reason. Please advise.

KeymasterHi again,
I’m sorry that didn’t change anything! I did discover that if I navigate to any following months, the years are exported correctly. I tried to further match your settings in order to replicate this locally, and did not have any luck.
I see that you are on WP Engine. Would it be possible for me to see this happening on your staging server with Twenty Seventeen enabled and other plugins disabled? I’m wondering if this could be something specific to your hosting environment.
Let me know if that is something we can try.
Thanks,

ParticipantThank you – I’ve set it up here so you can take a look. Still nothing changes:

KeymasterHi again,
Thanks for giving that a shot. I was able to import the events for the month of August from your site. When I export the events from my local site, I see the correct years. Looking at the two files, one difference I see is the the working one seems to have timezone information included in the date start and date end entries, whereas your site does not.
Can you tell me what you have set in WordPress Settings > General > Timezone and Date Format?
Also, when you go to Events > Settings > General > Time Zone Settings, is there a button to “update” your timezone settings, or a button that says “use the site wide timezone everywhere”?
If the former, can you try clicking that button and see if anything changes afterwards?
Thanks,

ParticipantNo I don’t see any option for that. See attached screenshot.

KeymasterHi again,
Thanks for providing that screenshot. Those are the WordPress settings I requested, but the other settings with the buttons are in the Events Settings. Events > Settings > General > Time Zone Settings.
Thanks,

ParticipantHere is what I’m seeing for that.

KeymasterHi again,
OK, thanks. These are the same settings I’m using, and there should be no problem.
Can you share a screenshot of the “date and time” settings for one of the actual events from August? What happens if you resave one of these events? Does it then show with the correct date in an export?
Thanks,

ParticipantHere you go. Resaving an event did not make it show up on the export. It’s still only showing up starting on April 15, 2019 when I try to import into my iCal app.

ParticipantHere’s the screenshot from an individual event.

ParticipantOnce again – the export function works on the built in calendar page: http://summitschool.staging.wpengine.com/events/2018-09/
It seems like the calendar from the shortcode just isn’t responding the same way.

ParticipantHi – this issue has been dragging on for several weeks now and we really need this resolved. This was one of the main reasons why we decided to use the Events Calendar and buy the Pro version. Please get back to be as soon as you can so we can get this fixed. Thank you.

KeymasterHi again,
I am still not able to reproduce this on my end. Are you on the latest version of the Events Calendar? If not, please try updating to v4.6.22.1
If that doesn’t help, can you share your Date format settings in Events > Settings > Display?
Thanks,
