ParticipantHI
I have an old website itportal.co.il which display events with your plugin Events Calendar Pro.
Now I starting to build a new interface for the website – test.itportal.co.il
I just purchased your plugin and I want to export all event from the old and update it in the new one.
I Export it from the old one with ALL EXport plugin (file attached) and tried to import it with your tools, with no success (it load only 4 lines which I couldn’t edit), I tried to import it again with the All Import Pro I have – it load them all to the Event section – but with missing data:
No start or End date and the publish date is today and not the original one.
So… my question is How can I or Should I do it ?
Please advise
Thanks
Yaron

KeymasterHi Yaron,
Welcome and thanks so much for reaching out!
You should be able to migrate your events from your old site to your new site using WordPress’s Export/Import System.
I would recommend exporting and importing the venues and organizers first and then the events.
You can also import data from a CSV file, which it looks like you have ready to go. You may need to edit the fields so that they are readable for Events Calendar PRO.
Here is our tutorial on this topic:

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantOK – Once I imported it via the Event feature it change the Hebrew letters into Gibberish.
So I imported it again with ALL IMPORT plugin and added the Start date and End date and it seems to work fine now.I just have one issue the Event widget on the Home page side bar missing the Months arrows, I can move forward to the next month or backward to previous month.
I compared it with the widget at the old site (itportal.co.il) and all setting are the same, so.. what am I missing ?
Please advise
Thanks

KeymasterHi Yaron,
Happy New Year!
I’m glad to hear that you have been able to make some progress with the migration your site. I see what you mean about the Event Widget missing the arrows next to the month. As a next step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
