ParticipantHello and thanks for your great plug-in! I see that there are other threads here with this same title, and also that a couple of updates have come out in the past month or so to try and address this issue, but I’m still running into this problem and don’t know if there’s a way to fix it.
When I add an exclusion (a weekly exclusion of Sat and Sun) –

and hit Publish/Update, the exclusion rule disappears –

and all the events are added as though there was no exclusion.
I’m running The Retailer theme from Envato and have checked all plugins and theme for conflicts – there were none.

MemberHowdy Dave,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll try to help you with this issue.
You can display the exclusion ‘details’ using the arrow at the right. Does that makes sense?
Before we start to trouble shoot this, please make sure you are running the latest version of the plugins. How did you test for conflicts? Have you followed the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide?
Please let me now about that,
Best,

ParticipantThanks for the reply.
Yes, I did follow the steps described in your Testing for Conflicts guide. Even with the default theme and all of the other plugins disabled and the cache cleared, the exclusion feature would not work.
I can see now when I click the arrow on the right, I can bring up the exclusion details, but even though they show up as activated, they do not work. The event shows up on the excluded days.

MemberHi Dave,
Thanks for confirming this and doing the extra troubleshooting, I appreciate it! I also did some testing on my side and I can confirm this is a bug indeed.
I’ve logged this in our product backlog and although I cannot confirm any dates for this fix to be released I can confirm this will be prioritized as there are some other situations where exclusion fails.
For now -as a workaround- you can delete the individual instances for Saturday and Sunday, after creating the event.
Thanks for the patience while the dev team resolves this,
Best,

MemberHey Dave,
Thanks for your patience on this issue! Version 4.0 of the plugins was released last week (+ a maintenance release -4.0.1- for most of them too), among other things it addresses recurrence/exclusion issue like yours. I’ve just tested the original issue you posted in here and I could see it was fixed 🙂
Can you give the update a try and let me know if it works for you?
