Events View Admin order by Publishing Date ?

Hi,

Was in the admin module to the event list which is growing and growing. Default in the admin view all events are ordered by Event Date (descending). Now I was hoping to find a way to easily change that view by default to Publishing Date (descending).

Wouldn’t that difficult I thought but I cannot find it. Do I miss something?

Maybe one of you can sort me out and help me to get this view ordered by Publishing Date of the added events in the admin list view for wordpress admins.

Unfortunately what you are looking for is not possible by default, but you can extend the order/filtering of events with Advanced Post Manager plugin. Take a look at this article describing how that integration works: Filter and sort events with Advanced Post Manager.

Thanks for your reply and suggestion to install the Advanced Post Manager Plugin from Modern Tribe.
I just did and read your documentation how to use it however I don’t see the following :

So no extra box called “Filters & Columns” for me in Events → All Events from the WordPress dashboard.

What am I doing wrong?

Just installed APM myself to check on that, after installing I was seeing the panel in the Events listing. Do you have Events Calendar PRO enabled on the site? Latest version?

No this is absolutely not what I am seeing unfortunately 🙁
I installed APM, and yes have Events Calendar Pro enabled on the site. This is what I have enabled now from The Events Calendar:

The Events Calendar – Version 3.12.6
The Events Calendar PRO – Version 3.12.6
The Events Calendar: Community Events – Version 3.12.1
The Events Calendar: iCal Importer – Version 3.12.2

According my dashboard updates are not available and all are the the recent versions which is strange as I know you have just updated to version 4 … strange. So it looks like my installation isn’t working properly 🙁

Hope it can be fixed somehow.

Yeap, you are right about the versions… Do you have your license keys configured in your server? If you go to ‘WP-Admin > Dashboard > Updates’ You can manually update your plugins.

After updating the plugins try re-installing APM and check that all plugins are running the same version (4.0).

You can also run a quick test on a sample site (clean local WordPress install or something quick to set up) and install The Events Calendar + Events Calendar PRO + APM (latest versions) and see what the outcome is. Maybe it’s not working on your site because of something else.
