Events Ticket Plus, Events Calendar Upcoming Events Widget by Category

I want my Upcoming Events Widget to exclude displaying a particular category. Or only show a specific category. Either solution works fine. Does this require The Events Calendar Pro plugin or is there something I can customize with my existing plugins?

Events Calendar PRO comes packed with extra widgets (see all events calendar widgets). One of them is the advanced list widget which comes with the ability to add filter by event category or tag. I guess this is what you are looking for, right?
