ParticipantRecently, events have stopped showing up on our client’s calendar on the front end, but we can still see all of them in the WordPress backend. If you go here and click on April (the next month link at the bottom of the calendar), you’ll see that it says April has no events, but there are a bunch of events in there.
We noticed that by hitting the “Reset Filters” link at the bottom of the filter bar made all of the events show. And then we also realized that dragging the price slider to the right and then back to $0 also made all of the events show up. It seems there is something quirky going on. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this.
Thanks!

ParticipantWe ended up removing the Cost filter from the filter bar, and that seems to have fixed the issue. If you have a fix for this though, so we can add the Cost filter back in, let us know. Thanks!

MemberHi Justin,
Thanks for taking the time to follow up on this thread–glad to hear that you were able to find a temporary fix for your issue! If it might be possible, we’d love to be able to take a look at your site with the Cost filter active so that we can see the problem in action. Do you have a staging environment available that can be used to replicate this bug for us? (If so, you can share a link with us in a private reply to keep your staging site private.)
Thanks again, and let us know!

ParticipantHi Caroline,
Here is the staging site with the cost filter active: http://visithsboweb.staging.wpengine.com/events/
If you click on April at the bottom to go to next month, you’ll see that no events show up. Let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks for your help, Caroline!

MemberHi Justin,
Perfect–thanks so much for sharing that link with us! It appears as though navigating from the main calendar view to the next month without selecting any filters is still appending some filters to the page URL, which may be causing events with no cost to be filtered out of the results. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to replicate this specific issue on a testing site. I do see a handful of JS errors cropping up on the staging site, including multiple instances of the Google Maps API. This type of script error can cause problems with other scripts such as those used by Filter Bar, so it may be worth checking to see if some of these errors can be addressed!
From there, I’d suggest running through a round of more complete conflict testing on your staging site to see if it’s possible to identify a specific theme or plugin that’s causing issues.
Give it a try, and let us know if you should have any questions or concerns as you go! 🙂
