ParticipantI have The Events Calendar linked to Google calendar to show the events in my diary. However, all the events are showing up a day earlier than they should be.
I have checked the time zone in WordPress and it is the same as the time zone in Google calendar. The events are set as all day events.

MemberHi Again,
Sorry for the issues here. I can help out.
Do you have a link to the event that is doing this that you can share in a private reply?
I visited all your August events and when I clicked on the gCal button I was able to get the correct dates for all of them.
Let me know if you are seeing something different.
Thanks

MemberOk thanks for the link. I see what you mean with the iCal file.
I used the same link on a test site and it worked correctly for me.
What are your timezone settings in WordPress?
Check them in your admin in Settings > General > “Timezone”
Please confirm it is set to a city in your timezone.
Thanks

ParticipantTimezone is the same in WordPress as google. It’s set for London, UK.
Note that someone else on the forum was having the same problem I noticed.

MemberHi,
I tried again on my site and could not replicate the issue.
Can you run through our testing for conflicts guide:
And see if that finds a conflict that is causing this.
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks

ParticipantBrian, Sorry for the delay I didn’t get an email from you for some reason so didn’t realise you’d responded.
Right… I have done as suggested and switched to a basic theme and disabled plugins and I still have the problem.
I experimented further and have discovered that it is related to the selection of the ‘all day” check box on the timing of the event. If I select “all day” the event on ical is one day earlier. If I put in a timed event in it appears on the correct days.

MemberThanks for the information.
What is the setting you have here:
Events > Settings > General Tab > End of day cutoff
Is that set to midnight? If you set that to 1am or 3am does it fix the issue?
Let me know.
Thanks

ParticipantI have just tried that on a two day event. i.e. “all day” 10th July – 11th July.
If the end of day cutoff is 12 am the event shows on 9th July – 10th July (one day early)
If the end of day cutoff is 1 am the event shows only on 10th JulyJuly 8, 2015 at 2:36 pm #984912Brian
MemberHi,
Does setting the cutoff to 3am fix the issue?
I could not replicate the issue in the eastern timezone so it may only occur with certain timezones.
Let me know.
Thanks

ParticipantYes that fixes it. It must be something to do with daylight savings in the UK where our time changes one hour in spring and back again in the fall. When I searched the web I found that one of your competitors had the same problem which they seem to have fixed in a new revision according to the forum I found.
This “3am” fix works for me for now but I think it is worth your development team investigating as I suspect this will come up again.

MemberHi,
Glad changing it to 3am works for now.
Agreed this does need to be resolved and I will create a ticket to address it, but at least there is a working solution for it.
Cheers

MemberOk I have created a bug ticket to address this. I find though that setting the End of Day Cutoff to 2am also fixes this.
However, it should work regardless of that setting.
I am going to close this ticket as there is nothing more we can do on it. It does not mean the issue is resolved.
We will update this ticket once we have a fix in a release.
Thanks
