My events page used to work properly, but after the recent Plug-in updates, it has some errors. First, the featured photo is not the one that matches the event, and also, the “Read More” link just navigates back to the overall Events page instead of the single event that it should go to. I am using the Calendar Pro Plug in and the Community Events Plug In.

Good evening Liane and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the glitches you have experienced after the latest plugin updates.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your system information in a private reply ? (following the instructions found in the link)

Also, if you don’t mind, could you provide the URL to your events page so that I can perform a couple of tests ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Url link: http://thecrushagency.com/neighborhoodnews/events/

The thumbnail is incorrect, and the “Read More” text only links back to this url instead of going to the correct event

    Good evening Liane,

Thank you for sharing the system information as well as the URL.

Based on what I can see, I believe you might have some template customizations in place that might require some tweaking after the last plugin updates.

The best way to know is to take a look at your WordPress theme’s folder and look for a /tribe-events/ folder.

Another quick test to do would be to temporarily replace your current WordPress theme by a default WordPress theme (such as twenty-fifteen) to see if the problem persists.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

In the theme folder, there is not a /tribe-events folder. I located all of the events plug in folders in the Plug In folder. When I activated theme 2015, the event page was not working properly. Any thoughts on what I can do?

    Good evening Liane,

Thank you for trying to activate a default WordPress theme such as twenty fifteen.

It is very surprising that this would cause the event page to not work properly.

Just to make sure we are indeed talking about the same thing, could you confirm that you just went into the Appearance -> Themes menu and that you activated the Twenty fifteen theme instead of Magazine Pro ?

In any case, I am a bit confused by something else.

As far as I can see, your Event calendar page is located at: http://thecrushagency.com/events/ and not http://thecrushagency.com/neighborhoodnews/events/

The http://thecrushagency.com/neighborhoodnews/events/ page is actually not linked to the Events Calendar (unless you manually included links there.

Could you help me clarify that ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

The site was being developed under The Crush Agency. It has now been moved to it’s live url which is http://ntneighborhoodnews.com The events are now not working at all. When I create an event, it does not show up in either the single event page, or the lists of events.

    The event url: http://ntneighborhoodnews.com/event/sample-event-3/
    The event page url: http://ntneighborhoodnews.com/events/

I was hoping the site move would have solved any issues with the plugin, but it is still having problems. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Good evening Liane,

Thank you for the update. Please hang in there while we try to get a better understanding of a seemingly moving target.

After taking a look at your website, it appears that you are using the Genesis WordPress theme.
My best recommendation would be to read the following guide (or perhaps submit it to your developer): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/genesis-theme-framework-integration/

Also, to cut down on the potential back and forth, now that the site has been moved, would you mind providing us with your system information in a private reply ? (following the instructions found in the link) just to make sure no conditions has changed ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
