Hi,
I have the same problem explained on this discussions:On the first, Patricia from your team acknowledge this bug and later on that discussion Nico Santos said that in the last update the bug is corrected, but it’s not. As Rainer Robert Schmidt, doesn’t work for me.
This is a big problem for me, because the bug is taking place on a website I was working on and just delivered to my client.
I’ll be waiting an answer, hopefully as soon as possible.

MemberHi Renato,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I’m sorry to hear that you are still having problems to display events on Map View. That specific bug mentioned in that previous ticket was already fixed so we need to investigate what’s happening in your specific case.
The map view is limited to only events with an assigned venue. If an event does not have a venue with a valid address, then it will not be included the list of upcoming events, even though it might indeed be an upcoming event in other views, such as List or Month View. So to get started, please make sure that all of your events have a valid venue.
The Events Calendar has a built-in feature that checks for broken venue data and will correct it for you. Please head over to Events → Settings → Map Settings, click on the “Fix venues data.” button, refresh your Map View and see if that makes a difference.
If the last step worked, great! If not, there’s another route we can go. This time, navigate to Events → Venues. If you click Edit on one of the venues, there is an option to use latitude and longitude coordinates. Click on that option for each venue, confirm the coordinates, save the venue, then see if that makes a difference in the map’s appearance. Entering the latitude and longitude of the venue allows The Events Calendar to communicate specific coordinates to the Google Maps API when the API is unable to recognize an address on its own.
If the issue persists after following these steps, please send me some examples of events that are missing from Map View and I’ll be happy to help you with the next steps!
Thanks,
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia,
Thanks for your answer. However the issue is still unsolved.
All my events have a venue, and all venues have an address. Each of this addresses is well written and can be correctly seen from google maps and from the map on single event view (in the small map beside the venue address), so I guess this is not the problem.
The ‘built-in feature for fixing broken venue data’ button not appear in my case, so I guess isn’t this problem either.
When I use the coordinates I copy/paste from google maps (opened using the link on the single event view) it works, but is not a viable option, since the whole purpose of using events calendar/events calendar pro/community events on this site is let the registered users publish their own events, without having to manually assist each of them. Anyway, perhaps the fact that it works with the coordinates sheds light on the real problem.Additional details:
- There were several events that I created along the process of building the site, wich were always displayed correctly on the map. When, in January the problem appeared while adding an event (in front of my client), I changed the date of the previous working events to a future date, and these were not seen on the map either.
- I have applied all the updates to date, still not working.
Today I published a new event with a new venue as sample to send you screen captures. I picked a valid address checked with google maps directly (from the center of the city of Santiago de Chile). As expected, it does not appear on the map view (main-view_NOT-WORKING.jpg). But on the map on single event view of the event, the address is displayed perfectly (single-event-view_WORKING.jpg). How that can be possible? Aren’t both maps generated by the events calendar/google api?
Hope your answer, I need to have this problem solved as soon as possible.

MemberHi Renato,
My apologies for the delayed response! Thanks for sending us more details about your problem. I’ve created 3 test events with different venues (including the one you sent us as an example) and all of them are visible in both Map view and on single event page.
Could you please access your Dashboard and head over to Events > Venues, click to edit one of the venues with the problem you described and send me a screenshot of this area? Perhaps there’s a specific setup triggering the error.
Thanks!
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia,
Thanks for your answer. Attached on this message is the requested image. However, I don’t see how some change on that area could solve this problem. I’ve tried different addresses, ways to write them and the problem still persist. In fact, I just wrote the very same address you used on the example on your message (exactly as you did), and nothing changed. Shouldn’t be any setup on that area which trigger the error because that form form is not the one being used, since the events and their corresponding venues are submitted via community events frontend form.
Waiting for further help.

MemberHi Renato,
Thanks for sending us the screenshot! Based on your description, I believe you are right: It doesn’t seem that there is a specific option in that area triggering the error, specially because the error persisted even when you used the exact same setup as I did. It looks like there’s some sort of conflict happening and preventing your Map view calendar to display properly.
Before we proceed, could you please make sure that both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are up-to-date? The latest versions are 4.6.12 and 4.4.24.2, respectively.
If the problem persists after the update, could you please temporarily deactivate all of your plugins (except The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO) and change your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen , create a new venue using one of the addresses that are currently not showing up in your map view calendar and let me know if the issue persists after that? Don’t forget to backup your database before changing anything.
Please let me know your test results.
Thanks!
Patricia
