I am having a similar problem to another person here, the page with the Events calendar is all messed up, I have made one test event but on the calendar page, no calendar shows up, only the event I made with only the description and featured image and a repeat of the featured image. The read more link just loops back to the messed up page. Single event pages show up normally.

This happens with Third Party Genesis themes, StudioPress themes tested don’t have this problem. However the Third Party themes are being sold through StudioPress and are expensive so one expects them to work.

Calendar page is here – http://activedreamingmaui.com/events/

This issue shows up on the website and on the local testing server.

    Hi there!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the calendar display. I will try to help if I can.

To clarify, this issue doesn’t occur when you switch to a different theme? We can’t guarantee our plugins to work with all the themes out there. If the issue is specific to your theme, you may need to contact the theme developer for help.

There is one thing I can suggest. Can you tell me what you have selected in Events > Settings > Events Template? What happens if you switch this to “Default Events Template?”

Let me know if that has any effect.

    Thanks,
    Sky

When I looked at this thread again https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-not-appearing-in-genesis-blog-loop-with-other-posts/

I now see that my issue is on the Event page and is there even if Events Pro is deactivated. I found more info on my issue on the support for the no-Pro version – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/calendar-not-showing-on-events-page-2/

Any way to get this conflict fixed?

Hi Sky, I found the answer!

After much searching I found the instructions and code to fix the problem with Genesis, perhaps the StudioPress created themes has the code already in the function files and the Third Party ones do not by default. However adding the code that is one this page fixed the problem, it was just a bit hard to find the solution, but now it works! – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/genesis-theme-framework-integration/

    thank you

    Liz,

Great, I’m glad you were able to fix the issue! Also, thanks for the link. I was not aware of the Genesis integration knowledgebase article.

    Thanks!
    Sky
