We recently setup Event Aggregator and worked through some issues documented here
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-can-i-stop-a-hung-events-import-job/page/2/#post-1591850Currently what we are experiencing is that some events don’t appear on our list as they should.
1.) Browse the site that imports its events: https://www.lindahalllibraryfoundation.org/events/
2.) Scroll down and note that the last event on the page is for September 13
3.) Click the Next Events link, it says, “There were no results found.”
4.) Click the Previous Events link
5.) Scroll down and note several additional events appearing: September 25, September 27, October 4, November 8, November 10If you look at the source site for these events: https://www.lindahall.org/events/, then you see the same original list of events, but when you click the Next Events link, it works properly and shows the 9/25, 9/27, 10/4, 11/2 (test event deleted from the site above), and 11/8.
Why don’t the imported events list properly?
August 10, 2018 at 12:57 pm #1595094BarryMemberHi Mark,
Thanks for posting: I’m sorry to hear you’ve hit up against difficulties.
I’m not sure this is related to the fact that the events were imported from another site, though: if I try to replicate the same thing on a clean WordPress site and import across from https://www.lindahall.org/events/ there are no problems with pagination.
On that basis, it probably makes a lot of sense to run through basic troubleshooting first of all:
theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts
In essence: deactivate all plugins except for The Events Calendar and switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Seventeen – then check to see if this remains an issue.
If that solves the problem, then by reactivating those components one at a time we can hopefully detect what is triggering it.
You can of course make use of a staging site to avoid disruption on your live site when exploring these possibilities:

Do let me know how it goes!
August 10, 2018 at 2:12 pm #1595138Mark EvilsizorParticipantHello Barry,
Thankfully I do have a clone of this site in our lab network and so I was able to turn off all the network, and site plugins. At this point when I do the test, the bad behavior persists.
When I change the theme to Twenty Fifteen, all the future events show on the first page of the events. In other words it works as it should.
Next I tried changing the theme to match another site on this MU network, http://www.lindahall.org. On http://www.lindahall.org this theme works as it should (or so I though), clicking Next Page properly shows subsequent events. But on the problem site (www.lindahalllibraryfoundation.org), the same theme exhibits the bad behavior.
This led me to wonder about the difference in settings between these two sites
– http://www.lindahall.org allows 5 events per list page and it works great
– http://www.lindahalllibraryfoundation.org allows 10 events per list page and it leaves events in the gapExperimenting more I found that if I set http://www.lindahalllibraryfoundation.org to allowing 5 events per list page, then it works proper, It shows 5 events, and clicking Next Events shows the remaining.
On http://www.lindahall.org if I set it to allow 10 events per page, it has the bad behavior also. It’s like the Events list page will only allow 5, but when I click Next Events, it thinks that the previous page displayed 10, so it does not think there are any left to show.
If I set either site to allow 6 events on the page,
– On first visit it displays 1-5
– Clicking Next Events displays 7-8
– Clicking Previous Events displays 1-6 (as it should have the first time)It is definitely some conflict between the Divi theme and The Events Calendar. An interesting note is that the URL is the same when I first visit the events page (and it only displays 5 when it should display more), and when I click Previous Events and it does display all that it should.
https://www.lindahalllibraryfoundation.org/events/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list
My workaround is to set the limit at 5 events per page, which is okay. But I would be glad to work with you to determine the cause of the conflict as I would imagine many others use this theme with TEC.
August 13, 2018 at 7:28 am #1596074BarryMemberOK, we’ll take a look (though, as is generally the case with third party themes and plugins, we can’t make any guarantees here – but of course I understand Divi is pretty popular) 🙂
Before I go ahead, can you confirm which version of Divi you are using?
Thanks!
August 13, 2018 at 7:46 am #1596088Mark EvilsizorParticipantThanks Barry,
We are currently on Divi 3.11.1
August 13, 2018 at 4:19 pm #1596648BarryMemberOK – I believe 3.12 is the current version – have you tested with that?

This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
