    Hi, guys…

My client’s main Events page is going a bit nutty… they’ve just started using your Modern Tribe Events plugin.

Here’s the deal… when you go to http://www.k9basics.com/events, you get to the monthly view of their calendar. Scrolling over an event duplicates it on the screen. Scrolling over it again, adds another one and another, etc, etc, etc. It’s also throwing back some symbol code in the hover that’s duplicating. Clicking on the actual event seems to work fine.

Also, I don’t think any of the calendar’s styling is functioning properly, as it won’t change anything from within the settings of the Events plugin.

    Hi Roman,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    • A conflict with another plugin
    • A conflict with your WordPress theme
    • A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    • Make a backup of your database
    • Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Thanks, Jaime!

In doing some testing you suggested, I found that the issue was with a conflict with the W3 Cache plugin.  As soon as that plugin was deactivated, Event Calendar functioned perfectly with no issues.

Figured I’d let you know, in case this may help with any future resolution between the two plugins.  Would love to have both still active, so if you know of any solution or fix, please let me know.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Roman,

I’m glad to hear that you were able to find the root of the issue.  The following articles have been helpful to our users in being able to use both plugins simultaneously:

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
