ParticipantHello!
Our old support thread on this topic was closed, but the problem is still happening (old topic can be found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-have-disappeared-from-the-calendar-part-2/) – I’m stepping in new here with this issue, but I understand in the past we tried disabling a few plugins and reverting to a base theme.
The calendar lost all of its events again – it appears the entire row for posts in our database was entirely deleted (not just the contents, ie. the events and posts, but the entire row). I ran enabled WP_debug (screenshot attached in private reply) while the site was down, and it shows that there is no content to draw from.
Not sure if this means the issue is from the Events Calendar, or another plugin, but help or suggestions would be much appreciated. I have a copy of both the working database and the corrupted one (I restored the site with a backup to get all of the events back).
Thanks so much!

MemberHey Becky,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
Based on what you described, I believe that this issue is associated with a database corruption, a site hack or a malware, specially because the entire wp_posts table was dropped/removed from your database. I would recommend you to update your WordPress, database and FTP passwords and review the following articles:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress
https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hackedIf you have any other relevant info suggesting that this problem is associated with our plugins, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist!
Best Regards,
Patricia

ParticipantAh, alright I will change all of those passwords to be safe. My one question is that the calendar loses its events every other week or so, which makes me think there is some other issue at hand. Wouldn’t database corruption or a hack occur randomly once, not every few weeks?

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
