I’m using the events countdown widget and it’s setup to show ‘next event’. On the widget menu it says that the ‘completed text’ will only show if there are no upcoming events. However, I have many upcoming events and it is still showing the ‘completed text’.
I have a feeling I might know why… my events are multiday events… so is the plugin set up to only show the countdown timer for the next event AFTER the current event has expired? If so, how do I change this… I want it to always show the countdown to the start of the next event… I don’t want it to ever show the ‘completed text’.

I would love to help you with this topic.You are absolutely right. If an event is in progress, the “Countdown completed text” will display.
I believe my colleague Andras offered the best suggestion on a very similar request: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/countdown-when-its-over-switch-to-the-next-event/
With that in mind, I have opened a feature request for you.
To set expectations, unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But at least it is logged and you will be contacted when it is released.Best regards,
