ParticipantI have a major problem with Events Calender Pro on my site. It fills the option database with a lot of info…
My options database is now about 450 Mb and seems to log avery search in our calendar…This makes the site terrible slow. What can I do?

ParticipantHey Jakob,
I’m really sorry to hear about this!
1. What specifically do you mean when you say that the options table “seems to log avery search in our calendar”? What does this mean, specifically?
2. How are you hosting your website? Are you hosting it on your own server? Are you using a webhost online? If so, which one? Share a link to the website where you buy your hosting from.
3. Can you share your site’s “System information” with us? This will help us investigate. Here’s how to share that information → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!

ParticipantI will try to answer… My site is http://pingstjonkoping.se
1. I dont know what is logs, but the options database is so big, and i found A LOT of threads with “tribe-events-xx” in it. I attach two excerpts from that database so you can see what it contains. I just made a random pick.

File 2: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14200118/Options_database_id380.pdf2. I use one of the biggest web hosting service in Sweden, http://www.loopia.com and using the hosting service called “Business”.

ParticipantThank you for this information, @Jakob!
The HTML in the wp_options table in your screenshots seems to be there because of the “Month View Cache” option in our plugin, which I see is enabled in your system information.
I would recommend heading to Events > Settings in your wp-admin and un-checking this option:

Then, if possible I would recommend deleting the transient option that all of that HTML is associated with. This is doable with a SQL command, though if you’re not familiar with this, you should contact your webhost support and ask them to delete the transient option that is shown in the screenshots you shared.
You should also ask them if they have thoughts about your site performance; they may be able to pinpoint the issue, as the HTML in the options table may not be the actual problem.
Let me know what you find by doing the sorts of things I mention here.
Thank you Jakob!
