    When i tried to do a mandatory update for the Events Calendar last week, it wouldn’t work, giving me the error message “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.” When i tried again and again, this update wouldn’t work.
    When I logged into WordPress this morning, I see the error messages “To begin using The Events Calendar: Community Events, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar. ” and “The plugin events-calendar-pro/events-calendar-pro.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

    I tried to re-install the Events Calendar plug in, but I get the message “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.”
    I tried logging into Cpanel to delete or rename the original folder, but it doesn’t exist. Only the Event Calendar PRO is there, and were missing the Community Events extension folder as well.

    We’re also currently in the process of migrating hosting from a small company over to GoDaddy. I spoke with GoDaddy this morning, and they don’t think the problem should be on their end, as we’re still on our original hosting and they’ve only copied files.

    Please help with this asap. Thanks.

    I am very sorry about this @Jen. I cannot recreate issues with the auto-updating methods, and so while GoDaddy says the issue is not on their end, there could perhaps be some sort of hosting, server, or connectivity issue happening here that prevents the auto-update from running.

    I am sorry for the trouble, but would recommend the following steps to get up-to-date with everything:

    1. Head to your downloads page to see what the most current versions of your plugins are: theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads

    2. Use the Manual Update method to get everything up-to-date with the highest version numbers you see on the downloads page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/
