GuestHi Sales,
I need to confirm if the following functionality is possible with “Events Calendar Pro”:
Can you setup an event that people must RSVP for it?
Can you include only specific people (registered and non-registered users) that should RSVP for an event?Your soonest reply would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

MemberGood evening Francois and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. Can you setup an event that people must RSVP for it?
To set up events with RSVP capabilities, all you need is our Event Tickets plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/
You can still add the Events Calendar Pro in the mix, but you do not need it for that specific feature.
Can you include only specific people (registered and non-registered users) that should RSVP for an event?
If I understand correctly what you are trying to do, you want to make sure only certain people RSVP for an event. In other words, the “general public” should not be able to do so.
I also assume that this list would change from one event to the next.
The easiest way to do this would be to password-protect the event page and communicate that password only to these users.
However, in order to achieve that, you will probably need to do a bit of a template (view) customization. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
Basically, by default, the ticket part of our events is not impacted by the default password protect WordPress setting. But, tweaking our view and perhaps using the help of a plugin should enable you to achieve this goal.
Here is a related thread to get you started: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/password-protect-just-the-ticket-sales-option-not-the-whole-event/
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
