GuestDear Staff,
I’d like to purchase the PRO version of Events Calendar. I am trying to use the free version first, but I notice some troubles with qTranslate plugin.
I think I have some problem with translated URL (ajax, upcoming and month for example).
Before buy your plugin… is it possible to know if it is a miconfiguration or similar? May I have your support?
Thank you.May 29, 2012 at 7:36 am #19792Rob
MemberHey there Davide. Thanks for the note here, and for your interest in the PRO release. We are aware of a conflict with qTranslate that was brought to our attention by a user a week or two ago – right here (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/additional-fields-not-appearing-venues-not-showing/). If I understand correctly, that’s the same issue you’re experiencing? Correct me if I’m wrong there.
Otherwise…I do see our dev is currently working to resolve that and he believes he’ll be able to get it squared for our next monthly release (code freezing today, launching next week). No guarantees that’ll do the trick (if he finds the obstacle not something he can overcome by code freeze) but if it doesn’t make the June release it’ll make sure to be pushed into the July one.
Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. Let me know if you’ve got any other questions here.

GuestThank you about your reply.
I am not sure I’m understand… I think I will wait next release, try it and then buy the PRO version.
Thank you.May 30, 2012 at 7:11 am #19908Rob
MemberHey Davide: thanks for the follow-up. What aspect were you unsure on? Happy to clarify as best I can. Basically, we are working on this now and hope to have it in our June 4 release. If it doesn’t make the cut it will need to be pushed to the following release, which will be out around the same time the following month (start of July).
Thanks again for your interest and please let me know what else I can do.

ParticipantHi,
Please can you tell me when it is likely that the plugin will work with QTranslate. I love the plugin but cannot use it until this combination works.July 24, 2012 at 6:33 pm #22696Joyce Grace
MemberHello Jane, we can’t guarantee when, but as you can read above, this has been something we’ve been meaning to get to for a while. Since we only have so many man hours, we need to address the most important issues regarding our plugin improvements first. Let’s hope for August!

MemberHi Jane! We’re hoping for the 2.1 release at the latest (coming sometime in the fall), but given the influx of requests we’ve had for this lately I’m doing what I can to get it pushed up sooner. Once I know more we’ll certainly let you guys know and we appreciate your patience so far.
Are you having the same problem as discussed above, or something different? Is it possible it’s an issue unrelated to Davide’s? Let me know if so and we’ll try to assist as best we can.

ParticipantThank you for offering to help, I would love to be able to use this plugin.
I seem to have a number of problems and have sent a link to the test site in an e-mail
I usually have websites in English and Welsh, but I realise that very few plugins are translated into Welsh so I have also added some Spanish content so that you can see the issues.
Starting with the small calendar widget
Choose Spanish and the small calendar changes to Spanish, but try scrolling to the next month and it is back to English.
The dates themselves look like links but are not click-able.
If Spanish is selected, the correct event name is shown on mouse over the date, but click it and you are back to English.Upcoming Events List widget
Correct translation shown but link defaults to English contentSingle Event
The link back to the calendar reverts to the English calendar.
The words Event, Updated, Category are not translated
The date is garbled in the Updated field
The Event Custom Field is not translated
The address is not translated
The Venue and Category are shown with all three languages – if you click on one, the main calendar has code showing.
The link at the bottom of the page which is presumably to other events in the same category are shown in all three languages as one word.Menu
The link from the top menu bar to the calendar always takes you to the English calendarCalendar
Using the Spanish calendar as an example,
Select the next or previous month and it reverts to the English dates and content even though the page title retains it’s correct language.
Likewise the drop down list of dates
Clicking on an event in the calendar reverts to English.I hope this helps – please let me know if I can help with this, I have been looking for a calendar which is compatible with QTranslate for some time and I know that there are a lot of people like myself who would be interested. I purchased the pro version hoping this would be the solution and would rather have it working than have my money back. I have a number of clients who would pay to have a bi-lingual calendar.

ParticipantJust realised this discussion is in the pre-sales forum but it should be in Events Calendar PRO because I have already bought it.

MemberHi Jane. On my end, I just realized you’re the same person I’ve been having an email exchange with 🙂 See my last note from a few moments ago and let me know that way how you’d like to proceed. Cheers!
