ParticipantHi – i get the following message when trying to active my license. The events pro plugin is not network activated and only activated on 1 sub site. Please help!
I developed my site at dev.*** but now site has gone live – perhaps this is the issue. I don’t see where to update this info though.
Thank you! You have enabled a valid license. It looks like you are using this license within a multisite network. If you have 11 or more subsites or want network-level management, you need to upgrade to a multisite license. Read more about license options.March 14, 2016 at 7:47 am #1088438Brian
MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.
Pro should still be working on a single site even with that message.
Is it still active for you and all the Pro features working? The license key is not needed for the plugin to work only for automatic updates.
The plugin will also work on one mutltisite site and you do not need a multisite license, but the message might remain.
Let me know.
Thanks

ParticipantThe plugin works fine – just no auto update as you say.
How can I update the ‘Site URL’ section on my licenses page – it still is set to dev.british…
Thanks

MemberHello,
Please try removing your license keys from your account on TheEventsCalendar.com and then reactivating them on your site to change the url.
To do that, login to your account and go to My Account > License Keys
Click “Disconnect now” next to all the urls and go to your site and add those license keys back.
Let me know how that works out for you.
Thanks

ParticipantThanks – I tried that but as soon as I enter it into the site the dev… reappears on the my licenses page.
Could it be a database setting that’s been carried over from the development stage?

MemberNot sure I have not seen this before.
Can you remove the license from the dev site settings to see if that stops it from saving it in your account.
If it is coming from your live site still then you might not have all the urls changed there and that could be causing it.

ParticipantThat didn’t work either – can you tell me where Pro saves its license keys in the database – I’ve search but not found anything related.
Thanks

MemberThis is the name of the field in the Options Table of the Database:
pue_install_key_events_calendar_pro

MemberIt should be in it’s own option called pue_install_key_events_calendar_pro
Not in a serialized data such as that.

MemberThe license under this option: tribe_events_calendar_options
Is the result of a bug fixed in 4.0.7 and is not where the plugin checks for the license. I am not really sure how to delete it from there as it is tricky to delete serialized data. In the past I just cleared that entire option and then went back and changed the event settings back from defaults.
Is this on multisite you are trying to save the license? Is the plugin Network and Single site Activated?
March 16, 2016 at 8:53 am #1089708Chris
ParticipantYes – this is on Multisite – not network activated only on the single site.

MemberOk, sorry it says that in the title too, my bad.
I tested this on my multisite and was able to get the license to save in the single site.
However, as a multisite the updates all run through Network Admin and since the plugin is not network activated it will only allow manual updates following this guide:
As for the license it should save in the Options Table for the sub site as well as the sitemeta table\.
With this as the option_name:
pue_install_key_events_calendar_pro
