Events Calendar: Previous Events

Hello —

I am currently using the free events calendar plugin and are in the middle of redesigning our website. We are considering upgrading to events calendar pro as one of the biggest challenges that we are facing is the sort order on previous events in the list view. Basically, on page 1 of the previous events it brings the visitor back to the very first group of 10 events listed descending. So, the pagination is sorting ascending (older to newest) and then the order of the events on the page show newest to oldest.

For example, the very first set of events that we started were back in Nov 2013. So when i click page 1 of the previous events it brings be back to Nov 2013, then has them appear in a sequence like: Nov 30, Nov 23, Nov 16, Nov 9, Nov 2.

My expectation would be that it would be a straight descending sort order from newest to oldest and would just assume to pay if we can get this resolved.

Yes, that would totally be possible by modifying the query of event posts when in the past view. For example, something like this snippet should do the trick:

Hi Geoff & John,
This is also my issue. But I don’t know how to go to the back end of the calendar to add this coding.
I only have enough skill to make a basic site using a template. And when I’m on other pages I’ve created I have the choice of viewing it in “visual” or “text” and entering the code from the text display.
Are you able to give me direction to reach the coding behind the calendar?
