Events Calendar not displaying properly when no events are scheduled in month

Hi all,

I’ve checked the forums and can’t find the solution – apologies if this has already been asked.
We are in process of deploying a new WP site with events pro and love the calendar functionality… but we have two issues:
1) When no events are scheduled in the month, the display looks odd – I would think it would show an empty calendar but instead I get a odd past event message
2) The main calendar view displays the next event in the header.

For our site, go to http://pht.sla.org/events/ and you’ll see what I mean (August has no events and May has no events)

Update: Item #2 has been addressed, still having issues with #1.

Found this, it seems to work as a workaround:
