GuestHi, I am working with a site that needs to publish events on a calendar for subscribers (only available when logged in). Some events would be available for all subscriber, and a smaller set of events are available for each user. These events do not have a physical location but we would need the time to convert to the local time for the user. So, we would need the following:
– Events visible or hidden based on who the user is. So events would need to be tagged for all or by User Name/ID and filtered appropriately. So events that are not tagged as “all”, would be hidden unless tagged for the specific user.
– Times on all events would show based on the user’s time zone. If the event starts at 5pm EST, but I live in California it would show on my calendar as 2pm that day.
Are any of these available out of the box?
Or, would it be possible to hire your developers to customize the implementation? (how to rates and availability work for this?)Thanks for your help.

ParticipantHey Janet,
Thanks for reaching out to us. The timezone control is doable out of the box. For each event, underneath the time settings for the event, there is an option to set the timezone for each event.
However, the access control isn’t something that would be available out of the box. We do have a list of recommended customizers that you could reach out to for some of these customizations though.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

GuestThanks for getting back to me Josh. Let me double check on the time zone setting needs…
So if my event was scheduled for Noon EST, california users would see the event listed as 9AM and Texas users would see the event at 11AM, etc…all times displayed to match the actual time zone where the person is. Is this currently a feature. I did try to research this on your site, but what I saw wasn’t clear enough to me that it would do this.
Thanks again!

GuestI just clicked your Correct Answer button to see what it did…but I still have a question about the time zones…please see my previous message. Also, I don’t seem to be getting an email notification when you reply.

ParticipantHey Janet,
The events wouldn’t localize depending on where the user was located. To have that, you would need to create individual events for the different locations and set the timezone for that location.
Let me know if this makes sense.
Thanks!
