Events Calendar doesnt show Day of Week, event disappears when event start

I have 2 issues:

1. Once an event starts it’s removed from the calendar. Ex. If a show starts at 7pm, even though we list it ending at 9pm, it will be removed from our calendar listings at 7pm when the show starts.

2. The plugin no longer displays the day of the week in the listings in 2016. Meaning, any show listed in 2016, it drops the day of the week and I can’t find out why.

Any help with these?

If you don’t have a license, you’re totally welcome to post to the WordPress.org forum, which we use for general plugin support for The Events Calendar.

That said, the calendar does consider an event “past” once it has started, so it will move out of the Upcoming Events list.

The date format does change when the event takes place in a future year. You can change those settings in Events > Settings > Display under the Date Format section.
