ParticipantHello,
Our calendar on the site is looking funny. There is a constantly loading sign, the search bar, and a handful of other information crammed at the top of the page. The formatting on the actual monthly calendar looks off as well.
You can see what it looks like here:
http://dreamlandislouisville.org/calendars/Any idea of why this is happening?
Thanks

ParticipantHi Timothy!
These issues are unfortunately stemming from your theme 🙁
To confirm this, you can run through our set of troubleshooting steps here and see if similar issues persist in the themes mentioned here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
If such issues do persist in the themes mentioned in that article, leave that theme active on your site and let us know – we’ll take a closer look at things.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey George,
I went through those steps, and it looks like the problem persists even with a new theme, unfortunately.
I also just noticed my wootickets is not showing up, and it will not let me add a ticket to any event. In addition to this, when I go to click to change the date of an event, the calendar doesn’t pop up, and I have to manually type it in.
Would this be an issue with my actual host? Should I try re-uploading my theme and plugins to the FTP?
Thanks

ParticipantHey George,
Can you let me know if you all are working on this issue? I’d like to get this fixed fairly soon, and am curious if there has been any progress.
Thanks

ParticipantHey Timothy,
Apologies for the delay, this is an odd issue – I’m curious, would it be possible for you to leave your site in a state where a default theme like Twenty Twelve is active, and all plugins except The Events Calendar and any add-ons you have for it are deactivated?
We can investigate your site more closely in this state and try to learn about what’s going on here.
Also, can you clarify each detail here?
1. What version of The Events Calendar is active on your site?
2. What version of WooCommerce Tickets is active on your site?
3. What version of WordPress itself are you running on your site?Thank you!

ParticipantHey George,
Ok, I turned off all plugins except for The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Tickets. I activated the Twenty Twelve theme.
Details:
1. The Events Calendar is Version 3.10.1
2. Woocommerce tickets is Version 3.10
3. WordPress version is WordPress 4.2.2Thank you!

ParticipantHey Timothy,
Thank you very much for doing that to your site – I know from experience how frustrating it can be to leave your site in such a state, but it’s a vital step for troubleshooting. Much appreciated!
One thing I noticed with your site in this state was a series of DOCTYPE-related errors in your JavaScript – there were many of them, and these are certainly the main culprit for your issues here.
It seems that you’ve left “WP Super Cache” activated on your site – can you try deactivating this completely, and ensure that caching is not active on your site? Then, take another look at things on your site and see how they behave.
Thank you for your continued patience with this issue 🙂

ParticipantHi there!
first of all, great plugin.
Unfortunately we have slightly the same problem on this site http://industryplanner.com/events/2015-09/ If you go to oktober of november the page is not loading. All the 2015-0[n] will load but the 2015-1[n] do not load.here is a ‘succes’ issue in the inspector. img: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v4fzzpgh71ad7l0/Schermafbeelding%202015-07-20%20om%2013.41.31.png?dl=0

ParticipantHi @springstof,
Sorry about your issues – I’ve never seen that specific JavaScript error before, so can you do the same troubleshooting steps I recommended to Timothy and let us know what you find? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
That’s the best step I can think of at the moment, since that error and your description of the bug behavior are indicative of a theme or plugin conflict.
Let us know what you find – and note that we may recommend you open a new thread to keep these different conversations organized, as these could be issues that are similar in their appearance on the surface but have different causes underneath.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey George,
Just deleted the WP Super Cache and now it works!! Thank you so much! I noticed something was weird with that, I don’t even remember installing it. Again, thank you.

ParticipantAwesome, glad that helped Timothy. If you can find a caching plugin that lets you “ignore” files from The Events Calendar, you might be able to use it fine on your site, since caching should be fine except for a few JavaScript and CSS files from The Events Calendar.
Best of luck with your site going forward 🙂 I’ll close up this thread for now, but open a new one any time if other questions, issues, or concerns arise.
Cheers!
