Events Calendar Customization

Hello,

I’ve currently been put on a project to revamp a “Calendar” section on a site. The ideal calendar looks like black/purple example from Marquee Las Vegas attached here: https://imgur.com/a/5uv7R. This calendar allows for custom thumbnail images to be displayed instead of the text and allows for a tooltip hover with more details. I want to know if this “Thumbnail”/image option is available on the current events calendar plugin?

I want to know if this feature is available in the current version we are using or of we would have to get the PRO version.

Thanks for reaching out!

Currently, the month view (part of the free version) comes with a tooltip, which you can customize by following the instructions in our themer’s guide. This tooltip does include the featured image.

Pro does come with some additional views (week, photo, and map), but it does not include additional tooltip functionality. You can see a demo of what these look like over on our demo site, wpshindig.com.

I figured out how to edit the month view but for some reason when I allow for the toggling between “month” and “list” view, the menu appears very strange on both desktop and mobile. any idea how to correct this or what files to look into?

Hi Barry,

Unfortunately we cannot provide technical support here in the Pre-Sales forum, but to get you started, the files for the bar can be found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/bar.php.

I’d also recommend testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins, and you may want to check our premium forums as well to see if another user has posted about a similar issue.
