    Hi –

Looking to switch a client over from time.ly to Events Calendar Pro / Community Calendar but I need to make sure a few boxes are ticked, and want to know which is the best package for my client:

    1. They need to be able to subscribe to other calendars of other organizations and have those events appear in their calendar (public facing)
    2. They need to be able to subscribe to Facebook calendar feeds and have those appear
    3. They need to be able to publish events to Facebook and Twitter
    4. They occasionally need ticketing

Thanks in advance for some direction on this!

    Hi Emmett,

Thanks so much for stopping by–we’re thrilled to hear that you’re considering making the move to our plugins! I’d be more than glad to help you out with your questions here. 🙂

    • For importing events into your calendar from other sources or calendars, you’ll want to pair one of our calendar plugins (The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO) with our importing solution, Event Aggregator. This plugin adds support for importing from a number of external sources, including iCal/ICS, Google Calendar, and Facebook.
    • While we don’t offer any built-in tools for automatically posting new events to social media, our calendar plugins store and access events as custom post types within WordPress. As such, they can be easily shared and crossposted by any social media plugin that supports custom post types. Feel free to test a few and see which works best for your needs!
    • RSVPs/free tickets are supported by our free core ticketing plugin, Event Tickets, which can be downloaded directly from WordPress.org’s plugin repository. If you need support for paid tickets, you’ll want to add on our premium ticketing plugin, Event Tickets Plus.

I hope that helps to address some of your initial concerns here! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!
