ParticipantHello,
We thought event aggregator was a good idea but we the basic usage that we want to do is not effective. We have a shared google agenda and we want every events to show on a wordpress site.
We can do the first import but if we update event in google calendar (like changing the place) nothing happens !There are updates every 30 mns, i checked the ical feed and it has the change in it. … I don’t know what to do. I set the event update authaurity to : Overwrite my event with any changes from the original source. That’s exactly what we want but it doesn’t happen ! Can yo help me ?
Not having realised this bug ment that we had a 80 people meeting set in the wrong place yesterday ! Can’t happen again and we don’t want to spend our time checking if the changes have been updated
Thanks for your answer!November 21, 2016 at 3:41 am #1195245Samuel
ParticipantAnother precision, i deleted yesterday all events from this ics feed and then re-run the import and… it still show the old version !

KeymasterHello Sam,
Thanks for your patience!
Yes, this is a bug. We have already ticketed it on high priority and a developer will start working on it soon. If all goes according to plan, then this will be fixed in the next maintenance release. (More on our release schedule here.)
We are trying to push the MR to come out still before Christmas, but at this moment I cannot confirm any date. Please hang in there, the fix is coming.
Cheers,

KeymasterHello Samuel,
I am really sorry about the frustration this bug is causing you. I understand how irritating it is when something is not working the way we expect them to.
Let me assure you that our team is already working on a fix. I checked the status now and it is pending Quality Assurance. So now the fix will go through rigorous testing and if all goes according to plan, this fix is going to be released before Christmas.
I’m again really sorry for this and thank you for your patience!
Cheers and have a great weekend,

MemberHi there,
Just wanted to inform that the fix for this issue has been pushed to the Event Aggregator server! There’s no need to update the plugins, although I recommend using the latest version of The Events Calendar.
Please let us know if this is working as expected for you,
Best,
