    Hello.

We have been running Eventbrite Tickets for some time. Unfortunately, there is a strange error that happens with only some tickets that takes visitors directly to the eventbrite.com site instead of showing details on the native site.

For example, there are many events on https://offthehookcomedy.com/events/2018-10/

With the Nick Swardson or many others (https://offthehookcomedy.com/event/e-comedian-nick-swardson-live-at-off-the-hook-comedy-club-in-naples-fl-tickets-49052303761/ or also https://offthehookcomedy.com/event/mike-quu-full-throttle-comedy-tour-live-in-naples-florida/ ) you go to a detail page with ticket info.

But for Ali Siddiq, it goes directly to eventbrite which we don’t want. see link https://offthehookcomedy.com/event/comedian-ali-siddiq-live-at-off-the-hook-comedy-club-naples-florida/

Other events I have tried to import result in the same problem — there doesn’t seem to be a pattern or reason, though, as some do not import that way.

Help is appreciated to resolve this.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Eventbrite Tickets plugin. I will try to help you get this sorted.

What you are describing is very peculiar! Our plugin does not have the ability to redirect your event page to Eventbrite. All it does is embed the ticket interface from Eventbrite on the page and synch the details.

I even tried importing the event from Eventbrite, and I am able to navigate to the event page and see the ticket interface as expected.

Can you try temporarily switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme and disabling all other plugins and see if this still happens? I’m guessing your theme or another plugin that you’re using may have some kind of option for this somewhere.

You can read more about this troubleshooting process here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Let me know how that goes.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

From the second screencast, I can see that you still have other plugins activated. For troubleshooting purposes, it’s important to disable all other plugins at the same time as testing with the Twenty Seventeen theme. Make sure to also flush any caches at a site or hosting level, and check that there are no “must use” plugins enabled. I see that there is at least one for ManageWP in there. See https://codex.wordpress.org/Must_Use_Plugins

I asked the team about this, and they confirmed that our plugin doesn’t have the ability to redirect your site’s pages to Eventbrite.

Can you try testing with the above parameters and let me know how that goes?

    Thanks,
    Sky

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
