ParticipantOn my events page, the name of one of my events, ‘Yoga Flow (all levels)’, is acting as a page title. Is there a way to remove this? or make it say Calendar instead?

ParticipantHi, khjoy. We’ve had users seeing a similar issue where the title is set to Upcoming Events, but yours may be different: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/site-title-upcoming-events/
I’m gonna ask you some questions to help with troubleshooting. Hopefully, these will help us narrow it down:
- Have you tried updating to the latest release of TEC PRO?
- Do you see the same behavior with TwentyTwelve as the theme?
- Does it persist if you try switching from the Default Page Template to the Default Events Template (or vice versa — basically whatever one you’re not using now)?
- Also, we’ve had issues where people see odd behaviors when they run TEC in a staging environment, i.e. /staging/events instead of just /events. Is it possible to test where it’s at the root (maybe on a difference machine) to see if the behavior persists?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Kelly,
1. I have the updated version, I just downloaded it a few days ago. The .zip file says 3.0.5, but
2. The behavior went away with the TwentyTwelve theme.
3. The behavior goes away when I switch to Default Events template, but I need a sidebar so I can’t use that.
4. I tested it in the root folder instead of /staging/events and the behavior still occurred. Thanks

ParticipantHi, khjoy. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I’m currently waiting for one of our developers to take a look at your situation, but that might not yield results immediately.
Until then, you might try a workaround in one of two ways:
1. Changing the theme to use the_title() instead of wp_title() seems to do the trick for other users.
2. Working with the Default Events Template but adding a sidebar via a custom template, which can be done via the guidance offered in this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-can-i-display-the-sidebar-in-my-events-page/Would you mind trying that and letting me know if that resolves it for you?

ParticipantHi, khjoy. I know it’s been ages, but we’re trying to get to the bottom of this and we’re having trouble reproducing the behavior.
Would it be possible for you to let us download your theme’s files for testing purposes? That would be super helpful.
Thanks for your patience!

ParticipantHi I have the same issue. The H1 tag on my events page is set to one of my events titles instead of “Upcoming Events” http://pelsaertchartercompany.com.au/trips. I am using the default events template. As per Khjoy, it doesn’t happen in the TwentyTwelve theme. I will send you my FTP details if you haven’t heard from Khjoy. Thanks

ParticipantHi, brightestspark. With the help of your theme, we were able to figure out the root of this issue. We should have a fix rolled into our next maintenance release. Thanks so much for your help with that!
Since we’re set here for now, I’m going to close this thread. Please keep your eye out when our next update is released. That should resolve your issues.
