Event time and dates

Hi!

I’m imported all of my site events from a local development site and on both sites the time was set at UTC+0. We are UTC+10. If I change my wordpress site time to what it is here, all the events move. If I go through events > settings > update time zone settings, will the events go back to their correct time or will I have to update all of my hundreds of events after changing the time settings? At the moment if an event is added to a google calendar they show UTC+0 time.

Hi Emma,

Thanks for providing me with that information

If you “Update Timezone Data”, it will most likely not automatically change the time of all of your events, however it will enable you to have additional timezone options.

Once enabled, you can opt to set the timezone per site or per event, which may be helpful for you.

In addition, you will want to set the WordPress timezone under Settings < General to the correct timezone as well.
