    Wir evaluate Event Calendar.
We may want to use it to enter events. The display takes place in another system that accesses via the REST API.

We have many non pattern based event series (->Event Calendar Pro). How do they appear in the REST API’s response of /events?
Does this event(with several dates) appear several times, with only one date at a time, sorted according to the order of the date?
Or will it appear several times with all dates?

How is it reflected in events/<events-id>

Another question: Calling /events without parameter start_date returns also past dates. Is there a value NOW for start_date parameter?

Is it possible or will it possible to manage different locations for an event series (location 1 for date A, location 2 for date B)?

Thanks a lot for your answer!

    Hi Caroline
    Thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any information about a event series in this very interesting blog article.
Can you help me with that?
If we have a non pattern based event series, how is this in the API response?
Is there an example of an event with recurring dates in http://wpshindig.com/wp-json/tribe/events/v1/events?

    Thanks
    Bernd

    Hello Caroline

I just found that in http://wpshindig.com/wp-json/tribe/events/v1/events/ there is a recurring event: “Startup Happy Hour”.
    But I am confused:
Calling http://wpshindig.com/wp-json/tribe/events/v1/events/?page=1&per_page=50 I get a reponse including event 38857 (2017-09-29), but the second occurance of “Startup happy Hour” (2017-10-06) is not included.

Is only the first occurance of an recurring event included? I cannot see any event property in the response which gives me an information it is a recurring event. What am I missing?
    Can you help me out?

    Thanks
    Bernd

    Hi, Bernd.

I was able to reproduce this issue; thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.

I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

Please note, however, that you posted this thread with an account that does not have a past or current license for Events Calendar PRO. Therefore, please do not expect support for it in the future (although in the case of reporting a reproducible bug turned out okay, so thanks for that!)

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
