Event Search Bar

Just a couple of questions regarding the event search bar.

My site is https://www.eatlocalweek.com.au/events/

It seems that the search field is not searching event titles – only the description. Is this correct? Would be ideal if it would search in titles also as this is where the event keywords are.

Also how does the location search box work? For instance if I search for events near ‘darlington’ which is the suburb (city) for one of our venues. If I search it nothing comes up, even through the following event and venue use it: https://www.eatlocalweek.com.au/event/farm-gate-festival-in-the-lost-world/

Forgot to add – when I do complete a successful search by keyword or location the events are not shown in date order – is it possible to achieve this?

In my post I actually just asked a couple of issues about functionality.. before I test for conflicts I’d like to confirm it how I expect it to work is actually what’s supposed to happen (maybe my expectations are wrong).

If you could advise

1. Is the Search box supposed to search event titles as well as descriptions?
2. How the location box functions? Does it search using the city field in the venue address?

Then I will know if my site is indeed working incorrectly and I an test and provide feedback.

I would be happy to answer your questions about the designed functionality of the search function.

1. The Search box is supposed to search event titles and descriptions.
2. The location box should attempt to autocomplete the location you’re typing in. See screenshot below from our demo site.
