ParticipantHi
I have spent quite a long time researching what I thought would be a relatively common set of features.
An event calendar plugin that allows:
* a list view on the front end
* events are single day only and very frequent
* there can be more than one event on a single day
* an Enquire button for each event
* must be possible possible to duplicate events in the event admin
* list view customisable to include number of remaining tickets and a very brief descriptionIt seems that the Enquire button (which would open up an enquiry form pre-populated with the event details) is my stumbling block. there is no need for ticketing, payments or even any featured images so it is relatively straight forward compared to many event requirements. There isn’t any requirement for attendee management as everything is done manually after the enquiry.
Do you think The Events Calendar can do all this?

MemberHi Timothy,
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out our plugins! I’d be more than happy to answer your questions here! 🙂
It sounds like your project needs are fairly straightforward, as you’ve stated, and most of these requirements should be easily met by our (free!) core calendar offering, The Events Calendar. For event duplication, since The Events Calendar uses its own WordPress post type for events, a third-party post duplicator plugin should satisfy this requirement easily. We’ve recommended Post Duplicator to users in the past, and there are many others that should work, as well.
For your last requirement, the inquiry buttons, this is something that would likely need to be achieved through some degree of plugin customization. The good news is that we’ve built our plugins to be very easy to customize if you have some degree of comfort with PHP and CSS! Our Themer’s Guide is a great starting point for getting into modifying plugin templates to achieve the functionality you’re after. If you’re not comfortable writing your own code, you might consider reaching out to a developer instead–we maintain a list of third-party developers who work with our plugins for just that purpose.
I hope this helps to give you some clarity on what’s possible here! Thanks again for reaching out, and don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!
