ParticipantHi. For some reason, when adding or editing an event, the event end time won’t change from the event begin time. The screen shot attached is for an event that starts at 8pm. The end time keeps defaulting to and back to 8pm and won’t let me update to an alternate end time (should be 2am). Even when typing in the time manually or selecting from the drop down.

KeymasterHi there,
Thanks for emailing support. Can you check and see if the date is changing to 4-15 in this case? If not, manually change date. It may think you are trying to set the time to 2 am in the past on the 14th.
Let me know if that works.
Thanks,

ParticipantYes, I can change the end date to the next day for the 2am end time and that works. But it now shows up on 2 days of calendar. It’s ignoring the Setting end of day I have had at 2:00am for a long time.

KeymasterHi there,
Is it still the one event or have their been two events created? Also, was any type of duplicating plugin used or was this event manually created from the start?
Sounds like there is a conflict. To get you started on troubleshooting: First, please make sure you are using the most current versions of all of our plugins. You can also try reinstalling them by following these instructions. If that doesn’t help, the next step in troubleshooting this is going to be testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins (with WP_DEBUG enabled). If you need a testing environment, the free WP Staging plugin will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.
Let me know what you find.
Thanks,

ParticipantI just tried to change the End of Day Cutoff setting to see if resetting it might work. Now it won’t let me change it and it defaults now to 12:00am. It used to work fine at 2:00am for bar events that go to 2:00am so they don’t display on the next day’s calendar date.
So something in an update changed to cause this I believe.

ParticipantAnd all plugins are up to date.

KeymasterHi Todd,
Can you send the debug info when you are trying to edit?
Definitely looks like a conflict and want to see what errors are coming up to help further troubleshoot this.
Thanks,

ParticipantI installed a Debug plug in.
First error showing up is:
Notice: The called constructor method for WP_Widget in
GalleryAllAlbumsWidget is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use
__construct()
instead. in
/data/12/1/45/40/1371692/user/1471373/htdocs/wordpressQH/wp-includes/functio
ns.php on line 3902I’ve sent that plug in maker the issue.
However, I get no error when trying to change the Events Calendar Settings
to allow up to 2am for end of day events. It just won’t let me change the
time as I showed in the previous screen shot.March 9, 2018 at 2:42 pm #1475170Brendan
KeymasterHi there,
Sounds like there is a conflict. What did you discover when you ran through the testing for conflicts tutorial?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi. I just followed your testing conflict instructions, changing them to Twenty Sixteen, deactivated all plug ins. Issue still persists. I can’t set an event to end after 11:30pm on a day. I’ve set the end of day to 2:00am.
I just checked timezone for WordPress and updated it to utc -7 for PST and updated timezone data. Still no help.
It used to work just fine to have an evening event for a day end at 2:00am (bar events) and only show on the starting day.How can we get this fixed?

KeymasterHi there,
That’s really weird. We don’t see the same thing locally and other users are not reporting this issue, so it seems to be specific to your site. Before we go any further, is it possible for you to create a clean staging environment and start with nothing except The Events Calendar and see if you can replicate there? If you can, mind sharing admin credentials in a private reply? We don’t normally do that but in this instance and on a staging site we’d be open to doing so.
If you need a testing environment, the free WP Staging plugin will let you create a quick copy of your live site that you can use for testing.
Thanks,
