ParticipantThis website uses both The Events Calendar Pro and Easy Digital Downloads. Event tickets are still available after the date an event closes. Is this a known bug? In any event, is there a work-around?

ParticipantSorry to hear about these problems, @Lee!
1. Just to be completely, 100% clear – when you say “Event tickets are still available after the date an event closes.”, do you mean to say that, for example, if an event ends at 10pm on Thursday night, then the next day or over the weekend someone can still go to the event; put a ticket in their cart; and purchase the ticket?
If this is not exactly what you mean, let me know what the exact behavior is instead.
2. Does setting a date for the “End sale” date field when creating a ticket make any difference with this issue?
3. Can you share your System Information with us? Here’s how to do so → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!

ParticipantThanks for the quick response.
1. Yes. Any time after the event ends you can still purchase the tickets.
2. No – The following link is of a screen shot of an event with the end sale date field completed but tickets could still be purchased after that date: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ln06hmc1cehvcix/screenshot.jpg?dl=0

ParticipantGeorge… it appears if the “Stock” field does not contain a value, the event will not close. Once we entered a value in the “Stock” field, the event closed as expected. This workaround seems to have resolved the issue.

ParticipantThat’s weird behavior @Lee, and it could be a bug. Thanks for reporting this! Can you share your system information with us? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
That will help us test here to confirm if this is, indeed, a bug or not.
Thanks for testing this and for reporting your findings @Lee! I hope setting arbitrary, very-high stocks for now is something that will at least make things usable on your site until we can get a bugfix out. Do you think this will work for the time being until we get it fixed?
