ParticipantI’m having the same problem another user is having.
I was notified of the problem by a visitor to my site and was able to replicate it. This hasn’t been a problem before, I successfully received submissions last week.
Testing it with a different theme (2015, in my case) did solve the problem as did turning off and reactivating other plugins. It even worked when all my plugins were back up and running.
I should note that as i did test events, I used the “submit another event” field that appears after each event. Also, the Captcha field didn’t appear.
However, after I did all those steps, once I tried to submit an event from my homepage, the problem recurred.
Any ideas?

KeymasterHi manometcurrent,
Thanks for getting in touch. I’m happy to help you out with that issue.
It seems like that when you have a default theme activated and only the MT plugins, then all is working fine. So the problem is caused by either theme incompatibility or a conflicting plugin.
We are limited in supporting theme compatibility issues. If you would like to hire some external help, here is a list of developpers who could help you out and are not affiliated with us in any way.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks,

ParticipantFunny that this issue has only recently happened and that it has occurred with at least two users.
Seems to me the flaw might be with the plugin, not with the theme.

KeymasterHi manometcurrent,
Indeed it is weird. If you are willing to, let’s dig a bit deeper so we can sort this out.
Modern Tribe is doing its best to develop the plugins according to WordPress guideliness, standards and best practices. However due to the multitude of themes and plugins out there Modern Tribe cannot promise compatibility with all and every one of them.
I should note that as i did test events, I used the “submit another event” field that appears after each event.
I was looking for this on your page but couldn’t find it. Can you point me there?
I only found ‘Calendar Submission’ in the main menu.
Also, the Captcha field didn’t appear.
I noticed on the ‘Submit Event’ page the Captcha field in not there in the beginning, but it loads after about 5-6 seconds. Can you confirm that back to me as well?
Cheers,

ParticipantThe “Submit another event” request only appeared after I had either disabled my theme or all other plugins. Then submitting events was possible. After I submitted a test event, the “submit another event” request would appear. Same goes for the Captcha. Once I disabled the theme or plugins, it ceased to appear. Though I kind of think that’s a side issue.

KeymasterHello again,
Thanks for the extra info and bearing with me. I have some clarification questions.
When using your theme and all plugins, are you able to submit community events? Or you are only able to submit community events when you use a default theme.
The “Submit another event” appears only right after submitting an event. Do I understand correctly, that this did not appear after submitting an event when you were using your theme?
As for the Captcha, it only appears, if the user submitting an event is not logged in and if the Site key and Secret key is filled in under Events > Settings > Community. If you are logged in as admin (or any other role), the capcha will not appear.
If you disable the Community Events plugin, the capcha for will also not display, as there is no need.Note: capcha loads from Google, not locally and not from Modern Tribe or The Events Calendar servers.
Thanks for bearing with me and looking forward to your answers.
Cheers,
