ParticipantHi, I had a previous open ticket where I lost my Nivo Slider on the home page when I did the updates to the current version. So since we weren’t able to fix, I installed back to the 3.0 version and the slider/homepage is now working again. But in doing so, the date is not populating on the calendar at the top or in the body where it gives the details.
Any suggestions?December 27, 2013 at 7:01 am #84241Barry
MemberCan you confirm if the problem was with our very latest versions (The Events Calendar 3.3.1 and Events Calendar PRO 3.3)? Could definitely be worth updating to those if not. Could you also link to the previous thread – I’m struggling to find one that you participated in that mentions the Nivo slider, though that could be due to a glitch on our end – unless of course you posted under a different user account.
Thanks!

ParticipantOops, sorry I said I was at the 3.0 version and I am actually at the 3.1. Here is the original thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-and-pro-version-breaks-nivo-slider/#post-81409. I’ll try the update to 3.3 and respond back. Thanks for the quick response!

ParticipantOk, slider is still on home page, but if you go to the event tab on my site and select any event, there are no dates?

MemberThat’s odd. If you deactivate all other plugins (I see you already tried that – thanks!) and at the same time switch to a default, unmodified theme like Twenty Twelve (with no custom event templates) does the same thing happen?

MemberHi! Did you have a chance to check things out as in my last reply?

ParticipantSorry, didn’t receive an email that you had responded. Yes, tried the theme change. Nothing:(

MemberI’m struggling to think of a reason for this beyond there either being a conflict or a customization gone wrong (perhaps a snippet you are using that uses the tribe_events_event_schedule_details filter or a different but related hook), though of course switching off all other plugins and reverting to a default, unmodified theme ought to catch just that.
Would it be possible in this case to install a fresh copy of WordPress – perhaps in a subdirectory – and initially install just our plugins then see if the same thing happens. If it does not, try adding all of the other components (your theme, your plugins etc) that you have on the live site one-by-one, testing at each stage. This is of course essentially the same troubleshooting steps but in reverse, but might help us to catch something that was missed initially.
If of course you can replicate the same problem at an early stage, such as with just our plugins and a default theme, please let me know so I can take a look while the test site is in that early phase.
Thanks!

MemberI’m going to close this as it’s been a while without any activity, but of course if you do need further support please don’t hesitate to create a new thread. Thanks!
