Event Comments Not Showing Up

I have a new install and I can’t get the event comments to show up. I have a custom single-event.php but I haven’t changed the bottom of the file. I’ve gone so far as to take out the condition before the comments_template call and even that doesn’t make them show up. I have “Enable comments on event pages” checked. What should I try? Thanks!

Thanks for getting in touch with us and sorry to hear about this issue. I’ll help you out 🙂

First thing I’d try here is to follow steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

I just gave this a try in my local test site and comments are working as expected on events page (when the option to enable them is check of course) with default theme Tweenty Seventeen.

Please let me know if the testing for conflicts yields any results,

I’ll try to troubleshoot it but this is the only thing not working as expected.

Thanks so much! I’ve been searching our product backlog and couldn’t find any existing report of comments not working. Of course this doesn’t imply that what you are experiencing is not a legit bug.
