ParticipantHello Support,
We are using events calendar plugin on the site https://shirlygilad.com/events/
We are facing the following issue –
The event URL is https://shirlygilad.com/event/past-life-regression-the-brian-weiss-way/
The total capacity we set was 19 but when users purchased and remaining was 6 we got the error that only -7 left. See attached.
It was showing 6 left but when someone was trying to purchase it, it shows the error and was not letting them to purchase the event. So we changed the total capacity from 19 to 32 adding this -7 and 7 and 6 + 19 so that at least users could purchase the event.
So if you visit the above page you will see 19 left but in actual it is 6 left because of the -7 error.
Please advise?
We also faced this issue in other events as well.
Thank you,

MemberHi Shirly,
Thanks for reaching out: I’m sorry to hear you’ve hit up against difficulties here.
As a first step I’d like to try and replicate the same arrangement that you configured for that event. It looks as if you are selling via Easy Digital Downloads, is that correct?
Can you give an example of the ticket setup you are using – for example, are you using shared inventory or anything like that? At least in my initial testing, I seem unable to replicate the same thing so I’d be grateful for any extra information you can provide that would help me isolate this problem š

This is the event where we are facing this issue https://shirlygilad.com/event/past-life-regression-the-brian-weiss-way/
I am attaching the screenshot of the edit screen of this event. Maybe you can see what you need.
Is it possible if we set up a time where I change the total capacity to the previous one 19 so that you could see the issue or if it is not needed?
Let me know.
I can change the total capacity to 19 to show you the error but then users will not be able to purchase it.May 9, 2018 at 10:33 am #1526419Shirly Gilad
ParticipantHere is the screenshot of the error. Not sure if it went before with the first message.

MemberThanks for those notes š
in my initial testing, I seem unable to replicate the same thing
Understood — though this will potentially make it pretty challenging to figure out what went wrong. Is it possible for you to share a database dump via private reply so we can inspect things in a little more detail?
If you can, please share via Dropbox, Google Drive or a similar service (for larger files that’s often easier than trying to upload directly to the Help Desk).
Thanks!

ParticipantYou do realize I had the exact same problem with another ticket?
The one for the May 6th event.

MemberI didn’t, though the same technique could be applied to all impacted events/tickets.
Alternatively we can try and build something more plug-and-play for you, but that will definitely take a little longer to do (we’re happy to, I just want you to be aware it might add some further delay – so depending on how many tickets are impacted that may or may not make sense for you).

MemberYou’re absolutely right.
Unfortunately (sharing this as a public reply in case it’s helpful to others) there is a distinct bug with the Buy Now Button form that you see in list view. At least for EDD tickets with their own stock level, it displays the total stock and not remaining available stock.
Though it also impacts inventory, it is otherwise unrelated to the initial issue you flagged. I have of course created a bug report for this so the team can take further action. We’ll aim to post an update once we’re ready to release a fix for this.
