Tom
ParticipantHello,
Trying to import a CSV of events and tickets, I choose events > import, then select CSV, but there’s no continue button…. how do I get to the next step?I feel like this could be related to the fact that the checkbox for allowing you to pull site stats doesn’t stay checked either….
Thanks!

ParticipantAnd I just tried reverting to the 2014 theme, and now things work…. seeing as I didn’t develop the theme, and these are the only 2 things that don’t work, how would I go about figuring out what piece of the theme is breaking it? I’m using this theme: https://goo.gl/OHRQSB
happy to get in touch with the theme creator, but what do I tell them is broken?

MemberHi there Tom,
Thanks for getting in touch with us, and congrats for hunting this issue down!
Firs thing I’d check is that there are no JavaScript errors in the admin side of WordPress, particularly in the Events > Import screen. If you are not sure of what I’m talking about please check out this guide → Using your browser to diagnose JavaScript errors. This will probably give us more info to ask the theme devs about the issue.
Please let me know about it,
Best,

Participantindeed there is errors:
no clue how to fix that, or if it’s the only one causing an issue…

MemberThanks for following up Tom! Great catch!
I’m mostly sure this is the cause of the issue. Can you confirm you are not seeing this error when using WordPress default themes like Twenty Sixteen? If that’s the case then the best would be to reach out to the Venedor theme developers and report this issue.
If the issue still persists when using a default theme, I’d suggest deleting and re-installing all of our plugins (Manual updates guide). Sometimes corrupt downloads cause these weird errors.
Please let me know about it,
Best,

ParticipantI can confirm when reverting to the 2014 theme, that this error does not occur. I can also confirm that the theme creator referred me back to you saying it’s an issue with how the plugin functions… they don’t support 3rd party plugins…
I should also note that these are the only issues I’m experiencing when using this theme, it would lead me to believe there’s an issue with this plugin… all I know, is I paid for support for both this, and the theme, and it seems both of you are pointing at each other…. how do I get it fixed?
thanks!

MemberThanks for sending the file over!
I could find the issue and created a temporary workaround for it. Try pasting the code below in your child theme’s functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/ae35457843637664a7590893384a2634
There seems to be an issue with how this script is generated (attached to the jquery script handle), I’ll touch base with our devs to see if we are doing things correctly and this is an issue in Venedor source or if we could do better here.
Please try the fix and let me know if it works for now,
Best,

ParticipantYay!!
That did it, now the import screen draws properly (I don’t have any imports to make right now so I can’t test full function) and the send support info checkbox works!Thank you!
do let me know what I need to do to make this permanent.
Thanks!

MemberStoked to hear Tom 🙂
do let me know what I need to do to make this permanent.
I’d say leave it for now in the child theme functions.php file. I’ve asked our devs to review this and see if there’s anything we can do on our side to prevent this or suggest an improvement in the theme code.
I’ll be back to you when I have more info to share,
Have a great week,

MemberThanks for the patience Tom!
After taking a closer look into the code triggering this issue, it seems like Venedor is printing out a script when they should be adding to the script queue or as dependency. I’d love to give an extensive report to the Venedor folks, so we can fix this for good. Can you please ask them for a contact email or a place where I can reach out to them on this?
Thanks so much,
