ParticipantI have the Event Option #1 selected but it is not working. I imported 44 events of the same date with changes to the times and the originals were not overwritten. I had to manually, painstakingly delete the original 44 entries because the import option puts them in as individual events and not in series. I have not found any documentation on the field to use for a series.
Very frustrating working with this product.

KeymasterHello Stanley,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your issue. I’m really sorry our plugins are causing you so much frustration.
At the moment Event Aggregator does not support recurring events in a way that they will be imported as recurring. All events are imported as single events. I apologize, this is not obvious from the information we have on our website. I’m already discussing this with our team how we can make that better known.
By Event Option #1 do you mean the setting under Events > Settings > Imports tab > Event Update Authority > Overwrite my event with any changes from the original source?
Could you please share with me the feed you are importing so I can run some tests on it?
Deleting the not needed events can be deleted with bulk delete, just like any other post type. After this they will be marked as “Ignored”. This is like trash, but we had to distinguish it from trash.
Once you delete them from the “Ignored” list as well you can re-import them.
Please share with me the above and I’ll be happy to try to solve this with you.
Cheers,

KeymasterHi Stanley,
I’m sorry for the long break, I was out for a couple of days due to an accident.
I checked the file you sent, imported an event from it, then changed a time for that event in the file, re-imported it. The import updated the event without any issues.
Is this the file you are actually having trouble with? Is it all the events or only specific ones? If specific, then can you point out which ones?
Thanks,
AndrasMarch 2, 2017 at 3:36 pm #1248680Stanley
ParticipantSorry to hear about the accident. Hope all is well.
Yes, it is the same file with the changes of the times. I suggest you contact George again, as there appears to be a serious problem with AGGREGATOR program since he had to escalate my other problem.March 3, 2017 at 4:19 am #1248875Andras
