KeymasterHi Scott,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I would be happy to help you.
To get started, could you please access your Dashboard, head over to Events > Help and share a screenshot of the Event Aggregator System Status? Do you see any errors in there?
Cheers,
Jeremy

KeymasterHi Scott,
While trying to see the preview for new imports, doy ou see one of the following messages?
“The preview is taking longer than expected. Please try again in a moment.”
or
βThere was an error fetching the results from your import: There may be an issue with the Event Aggregator server. Please try your import again later.β
Some other customers reported the same problem yesterday. We are aware of the situation and our developers are working to solve the issue.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we will let you know as soon as the issue is solved (meanwhile, I mark this message as “Pending fix”).
Cheers,

KeymasterHi Scott,
It looks like our developers are going to release a hotfix today on the Event Aggregator server. So users will not get any update in the plugins, but we will update the servers side.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

ParticipantOn the Legacy Import i could see each individual; events but when i select one or more to import it would say that the event did not exist or that in twas set to private which was not the case but today it is not showing me any events anymore π
On the Event Aggregator it would start the import and would stay there frozen with the loader animation spinning trying to import

KeymasterHi Scott,
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
This issue with the preview not completing should be resolved though.
Could you check again today? If you are still hitting the same problem, please let us know.

KeymasterHi Scott,
The issue you’re talking about, does it only happen when you try to import events from Facebook, or does it happen whatever the original source is?
If it comes from Facebook, it’s a known bug. Recently, Facebook suddenly changed their Privacy Policy, impacting the API used by Event Aggregator. Furthermore, Facebook rolled out additional restrictions a couple of days ago, which will prevent us from facilitating imports from regular Facebook pages, except for any events where you have indicated interest in the event.
If you confirm it only comes from Facebook, I will add your ticket to the existing Facebook bug report, and will mark it as “Pending fix”, so we could warn you as soon as the problem is resolved.
If it’s not only a Facebook problem, I will need to investigate further.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

ParticipantYes, it only happens on Facebook events, we only use the import feature exclusively for Facebook

KeymasterHi Scott,
Thank you for your answer.
I have set this ticket as “Pending fix”, and we will notice you when the import feature works again with Facebook.
Thank you for your continued support and patience.

KeymasterHi Scott,
Here are the most recent updates I can give you:
Update April 17, 2018: There needs to be a relationship between the account used to import the events and the events themselves (ie, the events must have been created using the same account).
Update April 26, 2018: The ability to import events that you created yourself (so long as you had linked Event Aggregator to Facebook with the same account) no longer seems viable.
I dont’t know when it will be fixed, as it doesn’t only depends on us, but on Facebook too.
But we will definitely warn you if and when we can provide a solution to this issue.
Cheers,
