I’m trying to move my calendar over from Timely. Couldn’t import all events at once, but was able to import 2 batches of events (with 1 more to go) and then suddenly it stopped working. Now I am getting this error every time –
Unable to process this import – a breakage or conflict may have resulted in the import halting.

Tried a different Ical feed and that didn’t work either. I can’t imagine it is a plugin or theme conflict – it worked fine 10 minutes earlier and then stopped.

I have cleared all my expired transients as well as all Events Calendar transients.
I have deactivated and reactivated my Events Calendar plugins.

    Please help!!
Here is the website and link I am importing from: https://events.time.ly/eksnz7v
https://events.time.ly/eksnz7v/export?format=ics (using this link and ICal import)

Is there another format you would suggest? Available formats are shown when you click the white Subscribe button near the top. I also tried to download the ICS file and upload ICS through Events Calendar and no events were imported.

    Hi April,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Time.ly allows you to export events as .ics files and you can import them to The Events Calendar with Event Aggregator.  This is the method that I would suggest using in this case.

If it still does not work, you may want to try with a bare WordPress install (default WordPress theme and no other plugins installed besides ours) and see if it works that way.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

I followed these steps, and lowered the number of items to import to 50. It worked twice with an ICal import and then stopped working. ICS file import did not work.

    What is the next step?

I’ve been experimenting to see if anything else works, and I’ve been able to check a single event in the preview and import it, but when I check 5 events in the preview the import doesn’t work.

    Hi April,

Can you provide me with the .ics that you are importing, so that I can see if it works on my end as well?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi April,

Thanks for providing me with that information.

I imported the ICS to my site and was able to preview and import the events.  When you try to import the events, what results do you find?

The first five events there for me were 5 events occurring today (August 16) and they all imported for today.

Let me know what you find and if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Nevermind, I decided it was easier to just copy and paste event info than wait to figure this out.

    Hi April!

Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, where we included a new Import Process System setting that allows you to select whether you want your imports to be processed Asynchronously or using the cron-based system. You can find this setting under Events > Settings > Imports tab under the Global Import Settings section.

If you are experiencing problems with your imports, please try using the cron-based system.

Also, if you were using the code snippet to use the cron-based imports system, please remove it and use this setting instead.

Additionally, we added an option to stop and clear all current asynchronous import processes by using the Stop current processes option.

You can find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-9-september-2018/

We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.

As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.

Please update the plugins and don’t hesitate to open a new topic if anything comes up.

    Best,
    Victor
