    I have about 50 Facebook pages where I have scheduled event imports. I check daily and in most instances the import shows an error… “The import failed for an unknown reason”. I then have to manually click on each import to complete. Thanks

    Hey Jeffrey,

    Thank you for posting and welcome to our premium plugin support forums! Is there any way you can set up a test environment using the default WordPress theme and only our plugins to confirm there are no theme and/or plugin conflicts in play? Please review our Testing for conflicts guide for more information.

    Once we can pinpoint the cause of conflict, we’ll have a better idea on how to proceed. Thanks again and I look forward to your response. Cheers!

    Thank you for the reply. This is difficult for us to test in the suggest manner as the imports ALWAYS succeed when done manually. Its the timed automation that doesn’t work. We can’t take our site down for a day or two to test this out.

    Is there some sort of technical log that we can view to see WHY the automated imports are failing?

    Jeffrey,

    Thank you for the response. You can set ‘WP_DEBUG’ and ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’ to ‘true’ on your wp-config.php file. (example below) You should be able to see any errors in your servers error log.

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

    I checked our logged bug reports and see something resembling what you’ve shared with me, so I’ve added this forum thread to the ticket which helps expedite the process of getting a fix included in an upcoming maintenance release.

    Unfortunately there isn’t much info on the existing report in regards to a temporary solution. I’ll attempt to reproduce the behavior myself and add my findings to the report for the developers to review.

    Sorry you’re having to deal with this minor hiccup and please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns on the matter. Cheers!

    Hello Jeffrey,

    Our developers are working on this automatic Facebook import issue, and a bit of help / info would be needed from you.

    • Could you share some Facebook urls / pages where you are pulling events from?
    • How are the scheduled imports set up? Could you share a screenshot or two of that?
    • What is your Event Update Authority setting? You can find this under Events > Settings > Import tab and looks like this: https://cloudup.com/cvGYf71lZE2

    Thanks in advance, your help is much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Andras
