ParticipantI keep trying to import events using a CSV file and I am getting this error:
“Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”I installed a plugin to allow that media type and it still isn’t working. https://wordpress.org/plugins/unsafe-mimetypes/https://wordpress.org/plugins/unsafe-mimetypes/
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

ParticipantHey Pauline,
Thanks for reaching out.
I am sorry to hear about this issue!
What I would recommend doing is the following things:
1. Deactivate the “unsafe mimetypes” plugin for now.
2. Update your site’s version of The Events Calendar. Head to this page to see what the latest version should be: http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
3. Update your site’s version of Events Calendar Pro. Head to this page to see what the latest version should be: http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
Once you’re up-to-date with those plugins, try an import again and let us know if anything improves.
What do you find when you do these steps?

ParticipantHi Pauline,
Thanks for your patience over the weekend.
You have already posted your site’s system information; however, since you’ve updated the software on your site since your first post, can you please post the system information a second time anew here?
To do so, post site’s complete, un-edited system information using the “Sharing information manually” steps outlined in this article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
In the meantime, please contact your web hosting provider’s support team and alert them of this error you are facing. This may be something that is arising because of certain server configurations, and may not have anything to do with our plugins.
Your web hosting provider should be able to disable those limitations of file upload types, if they are in fact the ones imposing them.
Thank you!

ParticipantThanks, George – you probably didn’t see my comments before you posted but I got it to work! Updated the functions.php file in wordpress to allow CSV files and I got my upload to work. I will let you know if I run into further issues but for now it’s working!
