ParticipantI am using the most recent version of The Events Calendar Pro and cannot add new events on my WP site which is running the Enfold theme. When I click add new the following warning comes up: Creating default object from empty value in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas09_data02/80/2522580/html/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 632
It will not let me save a new event, using either administrator/editor, there’s a submit for review button but when that’s clicked it takes me to a new screen that reads: you are not allowed to edit this post.
I’ve check all the user permissions, updated everything and am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

MemberGood evening Matthew and welcome to our forums!
Thank you for reaching out to us and providing us with your system information.
We are sorry to hear that you can no longer add events.
We will be happy to help you sort out the issue. In order to troubleshoot properly, I need to ask you some questions and suggest a couple of things to try.
- Can you confirm if this started recently (after the last update for example) or if it has been the case from the get go ?
- Could you please follow our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know if that resolves the issue ?
We are looking forward to hearing back from you.
Have a great night,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThanks Goeff,
I will go through the steps and see if I can get the conflict sorted out. If not, I will reach back out.January 20, 2016 at 11:58 am #1059414Matthew
ParticipantGeoff,
I was able to resolve the issue by checking all the plugins. The conflict was with “Page Comments Off Please.” I shut that off. If there’s another you can recommend that will default to block post comments and ping let me know. As of now, I have asked the marketing person to do it manually when creating new blog posts.
Thanks for your help.

MemberGood evening Matthew,
Congratulations on finding the issue. Good job!
To answer your question, you can actually set the page comments to be at “Off” by default (which will work for any new page you create). In other words you can do it without a plugin 🙂
To do that, you need to log into your backend (wp-admin) and go in Settings -> Discussion
I would recommend unchecking the first 3 boxes and saving the settings. You are always welcome back if you have any other question.
For now I will close this thread.Have an awesome day!
