Hello,
I just ran your latest plugin update and receive the following errors on every page of my website except the home page…..looks like a possible conflic with events calendar category colors plugin maybe? Unable to deactivate plugins as I cannot get to them. When I try to deactivate from the site back end….message indicates that plugins are in use so I cannot even rename. What is the quickest way to fix this? Thanks!

April 23, 2018 at 11:33 am #1513979kshykulaParticipantUPDATE: I was able to restore my Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO plugins to the previous version from the plugin backup I did this morning prior to attempting the plugin update; I use’backupbuddy’. The site/admin panel are now up and running again, however I will still need a resolution so that I can continue to update your plugins without error/conflict.
I have also sent the errors to Events Calendar Category Support and am awaiting their response.
Many thanks and looking forward to hearing from you.

Here you go! Events Calendar PRO is currently disabled due to the conflict that occured. Am only running Events Calendar right now, along with the Events Calendar Category Color plugin and all is working fine.

April 30, 2018 at 1:40 pm #1519528kshykulaParticipantHello,
In response to your question, the most recent version of the ECP that was installed was The previous one (4.4.24.2). I was unable to deactivate plugins from the back end by renaming as an error message informed me that the plugins were in use. I ended having another WordPress window open that gave me working access to the dashboard, where I was able to deactivate some plugins.
It might have been an ‘order of operations’ type error…where I should have updated another plugin before I did the ECP. Many plugins required updates on the day I ran into this error. Anyways, I used backupbuddy to restore the older version of the ECP plugin, updated all plugins except the ECP – and then finally updated ECP….all worked fine after that.
Many thanks for your assistance.

May 1, 2018 at 1:17 am #1519851JeremyKeymasterHi Kat,
I’m glad you eventually managed to update all your plugins, including ECP!
Sometimes plugin updates behave in a weird way, and it’s very important to have a good back up system in place like you have with BackUpBuddy, in case something goes wrong.
I’m closing this thread then, but feel free to start a new one if you come across more difficulties!
Cheers,
Jeremy -
