Participanti’ve installed the PRO version, and since a couple of weeks, I get an Error 500 each time I try to save a new event. This problem disappears if I deactivate the PRO extension.
This is very disturbing, as I have to use the PRO feature that provides a list of events per location.
i’ve also tried to save as draft then change the status to published, but that does not work.

MemberHello Herve
Oh dear, that does sound frustrating.
Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?ย I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.ย Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.
Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard ยป Updates).ย
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Thanks

ParticipantDear Courtney
I cannot deactivate all other pluggins. This site is in production, with several visitors, and I cannot afford to let people watch a non working website.

MemberHi Herve
We recommend doing this by duplicating your site to a sub-directory or better still, using a staging site to test these situations. Please let us know what the test results find. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to troubleshoot further without these tests.
Thanks

ParticipantOkay, I did what you asked, deactivated all plugins except the event calendar and the PRO one, then reactivated one by one and testes each time if event creation worked. I found that there are two conflicting plugins: “wordpress helpers” and piklist.
I need them to extract images from RSS feeds, so now I have to find a replacement…

MemberHi Herve
I’m so sorry about that. Unfortunately, we are unable to ensure compatibility with all plugins. Please let us know how the hunt for replacements goes.
Thanks

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
